The Haitian National Coalition for the Environment

The Kowalisyon Nasyonal pou Anviwonman Ayisyen (KNAA) is a network for groups actively working to protect and renew Haiti’s environment. National and international non-governmental organizations created the KNAA in July 2007 to:

  • Coordinate and share information about Haiti’s environment;
  • Collect and make available resources about best practices for the environment in Haiti;
  • Gather information about all existing initiatives for the environment and make this available as a national directory;
  • Organize locally and regionally to enhance collaboration and effectiveness; and
  • Give the environmental movement in Haiti a unified voice to critically support the Haitian Government’s activities for the environment.
